Brakes are one of the most important things to check when it comes to your car's safety. To make sure your brakes are in good condition the following advice could be considered.

 

Inspect your brakes every six months. Check the color of your rotors, pads and drums. Any discoloration may be a sign of damage due to heat etc.

 

Check for any cracks or unevenness. If you find any uneven grooves, the brakes must be replaced immediately.

 

Check the braking apparatus for any fluid leakage. This must be done to make sure there is no leakage of the hydraulic fluid from any of the hoses connected to the wheel cylinders, master cylinder, the brake fluid reservoir and the valve assemblies.

 

Listen for the sounds coming from your breaks. If you suspect strange noises coming from them, take your car to the mechanic immediately. Delaying the repair of your brakes is not advisable.
